Motorcyclist seriously hurt in collision
POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist has been left fighting for his life after a collision with a car.
The collision happened between a Suzuki GSXR 600cc motorcycle and a blue Ford Mondeo car on the B6012 road, near Baslow and along the route to Chatsworth, about 12.55pm, on Saturday, January 28.
A police spokesman said: “The motorcyclist sustained serious injuries and had to be taken by air ambulance to North Staffordshire Hospital.
“Derbyshire Constabulary has launched an investigation and is urging witnesses or anyone with information about the collision to contact them.”
Police stated that the 32 year-old motorcyclist, of Chesterfield, was last reported to be in a critical but stable condition.
