More snow on the way today

Weather forecasters have issued an alert warning of even more wintry conditions for Buxton and the High Peak today (Friday).

The Met Office said up to 20cm of snow could fall in the area.

A Met Office spokesman said: “The public is advised to take extra care and be aware of possible disruption.”

The High Peak is in the grip of a country-wide cold snap.
