More arrests after Peak deaths
Police investigating the deaths of an 18-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman have made further arrests.
On Sunday, December 23, the body of an 18-year-old man was found in a flat on Eagle Parade in Buxton. His death is not being treated as suspicious. Five people were arrested on suspicion of drug offences after his death. They have been released on police bail.
On Saturday, December 22, the body of a 20-year-old woman was found at a flat in Chapel-en-le-Frith. There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death but two people were arrested on suspicion of drug offences. They have since been released on police bail.
A further three men and a woman from the Chapel-en-le-Frith area were arrested over the weekend on suspicion of supplying class A drugs.
Investigations are continuing and anyone with information is asked to contact Buxton CID using the non-emergency 101 number.
