Monyash school to host its own farmer’s market

A Peak District school is showing its love for local produce by hosting its own farmer’s market on Valentines Day.

Monyash Primary School, in Church Street, will host a school farmer’s market on February 14 at 3pm.

The school claims the event is the first of its kind in the whole of Derbyshire.

People will have the opportunity to buy local produce from local suppliers, as well as see how busy the children of Monyash have been baking cakes and growing herbs.

Visitors will be able to relax in the classroom cafe as well as sample the goods.
