MENTOR Model Agency at Markham Vale opened its doors just over a year ago and is fast gaining a reputation among casting directors, production companies and photographers.

MMA which is owned by ex-model Josephine Webster kindly helped sponsor this month’s Derbyshire Times 2012 Business Awards and has secured a variety of assignments for talent from the region

Jack Griffiths, 13, of Bolsover, attended an audition for the lead role in a TV commercial after MMA sent his showreel and the casting director was so impressed he called within minutes to arrange for Jack to go to London. The youngster is currently appearing in the Weetos advert.

Other MMA models include Mastin Moor’s Hannah Floyde who appears in the current Disney TV commercial and Staveley singer Chelsea Redfern who will be performing at the Chesterfield Vicar Lane Christmas lights switch-on.

MMA represents models from a variety of categories along with performers, presenters and stylists. The model agency also works closely on campaigns that highlight issues that affect local communities and have provided Derbyshire actors for information films on domestic abuse and forced marriages.
