Man jailed for attacking couple with a chair leg

A Chesterfield man who attacked two people with a chair leg has been jailed for 30 months.

Lee Woodger, 21, of Stubbing Road, Chesterfield hit a 36-year-old man and a 33-year-year-old woman with the wooden chair leg after getting into an argument in the early hours of January 1, 2012. The woman suffered a broken arm and the man needed stitches to his head as a result of the assault that took place on Stubbing Road.

Woodger pleaded guilty to unlawful wounding and inflicting grievous bodily harm. He was jailed for 30 months following a hearing at Derby Crown Court on Monday, September 24.
