ITALIAN restaurant Nonsolovino is flying high after been mentioned in a guide of the nation’s top culinary spots.
This year’s Michelin Guide praised the Chesterfield eatery – which opened on Chatsworth Road last year - describing it as “adventurous, modern cooking features Italian classics with a twist”.
Acclaim was also given to the interesting, well-priced wine list.
Proprieter Andrea Sgaravatto said: “We are the very first restaurant in Chesterfield to ever have done that so we are definitely very pleased.”
The guide, covering Great Britain and Ireland, awards Michelin stars from the very highest level of cuisine.
Tessa Bramley, of The Old Vicarage in Ridgeway, retained her star for the 14th consecutive year. Fischers at Baslow Hall also has one.
Is a star the next stage for Nonsolovino, which also claimed three stars in the Good Food Guide?
“We feel we’ve got to go a step at a time, we will definitely try but we can’t say when”, added Andrea.
