M-way opens after accidents
A junction of the M1 was closed for several hours following two accidents involving three lorrys.
The first happened at around 2.30 this morning when a Volvo trailer hit the central reservation between junctions 28 and 27 south bound.
Shortly afterwards, a DAF truck and Ford Transit van collided further down the carriageway towards junction 27.
A 58-year-old driver from Creswell suffered serious leg and chest injuries and was taken to Nottingham's Queen's Medical Centre for treatment.
The third lane was re-opened at 4.30am and the rest of the carriageway just before 6.30am. A spokesman for Derbyshire Police said the closures caused some delays.
