Kids N Cancer donation for leukaemia sufferer

GENEROUS Chesterfield charity Kids N Cancer has donated £2,000 to a nine year-old leukaemia sufferer to help her enjoy a break between treatments.

The charity, on West Bars, in the town centre, presented Jessica Howarth, of New Whittington, Chesterfield, with a cheque during a meeting last month with Chesterfield mayor Donald Parsons.

Kids N Cancer chairman Mike Hyman said: “We campaign and fundraise to make donations for youngsters suffering with cancer to either help them with specialised proton therapy or to bring them or their families some relief.”
