ILKESTON: Police launch murder investigation

Police are hunting two men after a man died following an assault in Ilkeston on Wednesday night.

Officers were called to a distrubance on Canal Street, Ilkeston, after reports that a man had been assaulted.

Despite treatment by paradmedics, he later died as a result of his injuries.

Police have now launched a murder investigation and have set up an incident room at Ilkeston police station.

They want to speak to anyone with information about two men who were seen leaving the property.

They are both described as white, one in his 30s, the other in his 40s.
