Hayfield Festive success

Hayfield’s Christmas Festive Weekend was such a success that plans are already being made to improve it further for next year.

Organisations in the village joined forces for three days to host a whole range of events which included music, concerts, the tree lighting ceremony, a traditional children’s party, Christmas fair and a Christmas tree festival with over 30 decorated trees.

With help from the Jubilee and Christmas Fund the festive lights in the village were expanded with many more shops and homes on Market Street and Church Street joining in. The Jubilee Arch was also lit for the festive season.

Lyn Samuel, on behalf of the Jubilee and Christmas Fund, said that he was sure that the village would like to thank all those who helped organise and run the events.

He added that he hoped everyone was looking forward to next year’s celebrations, which will be even better.
