Four injured in Chesterfield accident
Four injured people had to be rushed to hospital after they were involved in a collision between two vehicles.
The collision happened under a road bridge, on Brimington Road North, Chesterfield, near to Pottery Lane East, about 1am on Friday, October 12.
A fire service spokesman said: "One of the vehicles had collided with a bridge stanchion and we received reports that one of the two vehicles was also on fire."
Chesterfield firefighters extinguished the blazing vehicle before making the area safe and assisting the casualties and ambulance crews.
Police confirmed three people in a Hyundai Accent car were injured with two suffering facial injuries, cuts and bruises.
And the male driver of a Volkswagen Polo suffered chest and back injuries.
A dog was also discovered dead at the scene of the crash, according to officers.
