Derbyshire police have held a minute’s silence to remember the two women officers who were killed in Greater Manchester yesterday.

The force joined in the nationwide silence at 11am for PCs Nicola Hughes, 23, and Fiona Bone, 32, who were killed in a gun and grenade attack after apparently being lured to Mottram by a hoax burglary report.

Suspect Dale Cregan is being questioned over their deaths.
