Find out how to beat malnutrition

COUNCIL chiefs are inviting residents to attend free classes on tackling malnutrition among older people.

The sessions have been set up as part of Derbyshire County Council’s Eat Well campaign and will help people spot the symptoms of malnutrition, learn why it is a problem and hear about ways to tackle it.

Cllr Carol Hart, cabinet member for public health, said: “Malnutrition and dehydration cause serious health problems.

“It’s also a common cause of admission to hospitals and care homes and costs the taxpayer billions of pounds a year.”
