Fast broadband speeding to Peaks

Superfast broadband is a step closer after county officials have put it to tender.

Derbyshire County Council’s cabinet approved the publication of a draft invitation for IT companies to tender for the right to deliver superfast broadband to 90 per cent of the county.

Standard broadband (two Mbps) will be delivered to the remaining ten per cent of the county.
