Event to help fire victims

AN event will raise cash to help families affected by a fire in Whaley Thorns.

The event will take place at the Long Willow sports club, on Main Street, Langwith, at 8pm on Saturday after 65-year-old Norma Sweeney died in the Christmas Eve blaze.

Donations can be made at the door.
