DERBYSHIRE: Snow latest

Snow fell over night across Derbyshire causing delays for motorists this morning (Monday, February 11).
Despite the weather most schools across the county have opened and only Ormiston Enterprise Academy has closed.
A spokesman for the school in Ilkeston said they had closed because “the school site is dangerous to staff and students,” adding they will open as normal tomorrow if weather remains stable.
Commuters reported some delays with hazardous driving conditions on A57 Snake Pass in both directions.
Today the weather is expected to be cold, dull with occasional mainly light snow.
Outbreaks of mainly light snow, especially over the Peak District, will die away this afternoon. Further slight accumulations are possible. Maximum Temperature 2 °C.
Tonight it will remain overcast, but despite the cloud amounts temperatures will fall below freezing. The slight frost will lead to a risk of ice on untreated surfaces. Minimum Temperature -1 °C.
Tomorrow there will be large amounts of cloud and limited bright or sunny spells, with a small chance of scattered light wintry showers. Feeling cold, despite a slightly lighter wind compared to today. Maximum Temperature 2 °C.
