CLAY CROSS: Residents sample new-look Sharley Park

Clay Cross residents have been given the opportunity to sample for free all that the new-look Sharley Park leisure centre has to offer.

The centre now boasts a new fitness suite, refurbished reception and improved disabled access after work on the £530,000 facelift was completed in February.

Cllr Graham Baxter, leader of North East District Council, opened the new-look facility.

Cllr Baxter said: “Sharley Park was already well used by the community and the brand new fitness suite is a fantastic facility. We’ve extended the range of classes at the centre together with the wider refurbishment of the reception and accessibility improvements.”

To mark the completion of the work residents can attend a free induction and gym session until March 31.
