Chesterfield man faces murder charge
A 33-year-old man has been charged with murder after the discovery of a body at a house in Chesterfield.
The body of Gerald Victor Harris (52) – known by his friends as 'Grandad' – was found at Honiton Court, Newbold on Wednesday morning.
A Brimington man has been charged with murder in connection with Mr Harris' death.
Officers investigation the circumstances surrounding Mr Harris' death are still appealing for help to piece together his last movements.
They particularly want to speak to two people. The first is a man who was walking along St John's Road between 9-10pm on the evening of Tuesday, September 25. He is white, aged 17-19 years old with fair hair. He was wearing a red t-shirt type top, which was quite long on him, and dark trousers. He was walking towards the Vets for Pets shop.
Police also want to speak to a man who they believe was sitting near to the telephone kiosk outside the Spar shop in Littlemoor at around the same time.
