CHESTERFIELD: Police station to close for maintenance
Police are urging people to protect their property online.
CHESTERFIELD police station will be closed this weekend to allow for maintenance works to be carried out.
The mobile police enquiry office will be on hand for the public during the temporary closure.
It will be located on Vicar Lane, in the town centre, between 9am and 6pm on Saturday, February 16, and Sunday, February 17.
Alternatively, people can use the yellow telephone outside the enquiry office on Beetwell Street to contact police call centre operators.
Response teams will be working from other offices within the Chesterfield area until the building reopens on Monday, February 18.
Inspector Steve Ball, who is charge of policing in Chesterfield, said: “We would like to apologise for any inconvenience during the maintenance works. Our officers will be working from other stations in the area to ensure there is no disruption to our normal service.”
You can also contact police by calling 101, except in an emergency when the number is always 999.
