FIREFIGHTERS rescued a male casualty who was trapped in a roadsweeping vehicle after it had been involved in a collision.
The casualty had become trapped by his legs during the emergency at the Junction 29 truck stop, on Holmewood Industrial Estate, Chesterfield, about 4.30am, today, Wednesday, February 27.
A Derbyshire fire service spokesman said: “The incident involved one road sweeper with one male occupant trapped by his legs and he had to be rescued by the fire service.”
Firefighters from Chesterfield, Staveley and Clay Cross dealt with the emergency and made the area safe within half-an-hour.
