CHESTERFIELD: Borough council service as normal despite snow

Bin collections are currently being carried out as usual. If your bin is due to be emptied today - please leave it out.

SpirePride teams were out early this morning clearing snow and gritting pavements in the town centre.

Chesterfield and District Crematorium and cemeteries are open as usual - please check with funeral directors if services are taking place.

Careline and mobile warden services are operating as usual.

The Customer Service Centre on New Square is currently open as usual. The Town Hall is also open as usual.

Markets are open, although we expect fever stalls than usual.

Car parks are currently open although surface car parks do currently have a covering of snow - users are advised to take care.

The Pomegranate Theatre is open as usual with tonight’s performance of Honk! taking place as usual. The Winding Wheel does not have any shows taking place today but the box office is open as usual.

Queen’s Park Sports Centre and The Healthy Living Centre are currently open. Please check with the centres if classes are taking place. Queen’s Park Sports centre, tel: 01246 345559, Healthy Living Centre, tel: 01246 345666.
