A MAN has been jailed for three years after admitting two burglaries and one theft.

Leon Lockhart was given three years for burgling a house in Woburn Close, Swanwick, and one at Charles Street, Leabrooks, in November.

A laptop, wallet and jewellery box were stolen from the Woburn Close house while several computer games were taken from Charles Street.

The 30-year-old, of Riber Avenue, Somercotes, was sentenced to six months concurrent for taking diesel from vehicles at a building site in Greenhill Lane, Leabrooks in the same month.

Emma Wright, 22, of the same address, was given a four month sentence after she admitted handling stolen goods.

The pair were sentenced at Derby Crown Court on Tuesday, February 14.
