SPIRITE soccer stars put their best feet forward to challenge runners to take on the new Chesterfield Community 5K Run for seriously ill hospice patients.

The prestigious North Derbyshire Running Club event will set off from Sheepbridge Industrial Estate and finish at Chesterfield FC’s B2Net Stadium to raise sponsor money for the town’s Ashgate Hospice.

Hospice spokesman Emily Evans said: “This will be a fantastic sponsored running or walking event for all abilities.”

Runners will be bussed from the stadium to the start and will set off at 10am, on Sunday, June 17, and the children’s run will start at 11am, from the B2Net Stadium.

Entry costs £10 for club runners and £12 for unaffiliated runners. Those interested can visit http://northderbyshirerc.jimdo.com or can call the hospice on (01246) 568801.
