POLICE have arrested two men on suspicion of theft from a car park ticket machine.

A member of the public alerted police after seeing two men apparently breaking into the machine near Treak Cliff Cavern, Castleton, at 8.15pm on Tuesday.

Officers followed the two 20-year-old men who fled in a car bound for Sheffield.

The pair were arrested on suspicion of theft and remanded in custody.
