Library opening hours slashed

Have your say

COUNCIL chiefs have agreed plans to reduce the opening hours of a number of libraries in Derbyshire in a bid to save cash.

No libraries will shut in the shake-up, but 30 facilities – including in Bolsover and Clay Cross – will be affected by shorter opening times.

The change is part of plans to save £1.76m in the council’s cultural and community services department.
