YOUNGSTERS at a primary school are being treated to a colourful new library which is dedicated to its hard-working former school governors.
The Denman Library at Abercrombie School was opened to the excitement of staff, pupils and parents.
Headteacher Neil Jones said: “They love the new library. It’s far more colourful and the books are new and appealing.”
He said that everyone thought the funky new furniture was comfortable and that they were very happy with it.
It was opened by Ann Denman, and is dedicated to her and her late husband Alan.
Mr Jones said: “The Denmans have worked tirelessly behind the scenes working for this school and we felt that it was quite fitting to name the new library after them in their honour.”
He added that it is well used by the pupils and teachers, and parents are also using it as a community room.
