LANGWITH: Five burglaries on same street

Police investigating five burglaries that took place on the same street in the Langwith area are appealing for information.

Five homes on Dale Close were burgled between Thursday, March 28 and Saturday, March 30, with most of the break-ins happening on Friday evening.

Thieves broke into a house on Dale Close, at 10pm on Friday, March 29 through a ground floor window and stole cash and personal documents.

Between 9am on Thursday, March 28 and 2.45pm on Saturday, March 30 thieves forced their way into a house and stole cash and jewellery including two lockets, a wedding ring, an eternity ring and two pairs of earrings.

Another house on the road was targeted between 6.45pm and 10.20pm on Friday, March 29. Offenders forced the back door open and took cash, jewellery and a digital camera.

Burglars broke into a fourth house on the same cul-de-sac between 6.15pm and 10.20pm and stole ornaments and jewellery including five rings, a men’s watch and a chain. A fifth house on Dale Close was targeted but nothing was stolen.

Detectives would like to speak to anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area around the time of the break-ins.
