STAINLESS steel kitchen work tops were stolen in a burglary at a farm on Market Street, Clay Cross.

The offenders burnt a lock to break into an old farm building at the site between 7.30pm last night (Wednesday, July 18) and this morning at 6.45am. They used a fork lift truck to move things from one part of the farm to another.

Police said the owner was still checking whether anything other than the work tops – which were new – had been stolen.

Anyone with information should call Derbyshire Police on 101.
