Keep-fit queen's hat-trick bid
A multi-talented keep-fit fanatic is setting a fine example as part of the Derbyshire Times' health campaign as she prepares to take the plunge with a triathlon challenge.
Chesterfield-based communications officer Christina Lloyd, of Derbyshire Primary Care Trust, aims to swim, bike and run her way to supreme fitness after pledging to take on the forthcoming London Triathlon.
She said: "I like to swim and run and have done a bit of cycling but I thought I'd take things a step further by trying to do all three in one grand event."
The hat-trick queen has become one of the latest people to make a bold pledge as part of the Derbyshire Times and Derbyshire Primary Care Trust's Get Active Get A Life! campaign aimed at boosting health and fitness countywide.
She has been training hard for the event in August which attracts some of the best athletes from across the country.
Christina added: "It doesn't matter how big or small your personal pledge is, the important thing is that people enjoy themselves and do a little something extra to improve their health."
