Investigations into the cause of a house fire in North Wingfield in which four people died continue this morning.
Police and fire investigators remain at the house on Williamthorpe Road where two women and two young boys died.
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 5am yesterday (Wednesday, November 20).
Claire James, 27, Josie Leighton, 32, and her two sons Tyler Green, 9, and Jordan Green, 12, died following the fire.
Post mortem examinations will take place later today to determine the exact causes of the deaths.
Specially trained officers continue to support family members.
Officers will be working to engage with the community following the tragedy.
A static information point will be located at the Co-op store on Williamthorpe Road.
A Derbyshire fire service spokesman said: “We advise people to ensure they have working smoke alarms on every level of their home and that they are tested regularly.
“We also urge people to plan an escape route that everyone in the family has practiced and is aware of for the event of a fire.”
