Wildlife enthusiasts are invited to learn more about the furry creatures that live in the Dales.
Derbyshire Wildlife Trust is holding a one–day Investigating Mammals course at Severn Trent Carsington Water on Saturday, January 19.
Those who attend will be able to learn how to identify mammals from the signs they leave behind by taking a close look at nests and homes, tracks, droppings, hairs and bones.
The workshop will take place in the Wildlife Discovery Room and there will also be a walk around Carsington Water to look for harvest mouse nests.
It is suitable for adults and accompanied children aged 12 and over and costs £12 per person. Places must be booked by calling Derbyshire Wildlife Trust on 01773 881188. For more information visit www.derbyshirewildlifetrust.org.uk
