AN inquest has been opened into the death of a man and a woman whose decomposed bodies were found at a flat.
Chesterfield Coroner’s Court heard today (Wednesday) how the decaying bodies of 34-year-old Dean Gregory and Donna Benson, 31, were found in the first floor flat on Atlow Close, in Chesterfield, on July 14.
The unemployed pair were found when ambulance crews forced entry into the property after they were called by concerned relatives.
Speaking at the inquest, Det Insp Kem Mehmet, of Derbyshire Police, said: “There is no evidence or any information to suggest how they’ve died.”
Coroner Dr Robert Hunter adjourned the inquest pending further enquiries.
