A mum and dad raised pots of cash when they took part in a charity challenge to raise awareness of their daughter’s rare condition.
Jessica and Simon Otter, of Springwell Park Drive, Inkersall, and a group of friends climbed Ben Nevis, Mount Snowdon and Scafell Pike in 23 hours and 38 minutes for the Three Peaks Challenge. Jessica and Simon’s daughter, 15-month-old Emie, suffers from Turner syndrome – an extremely rare genetic chromosomal disorder which only affects females. They raised about £3,000 for the Turner Syndrome Support Society. You can still sponsor them by logging on to www.justgiving.com/tsthreepeaks.
