The Range will open its 64th store in Chesterfield in June, the fifth of many stores being opened in 2012!

The new Chesterfield store is set to open on Friday 29th June 2012, after a successful year in 2011 where the business opened 11 new superstores across England and Wales. The new store will be on Lordsmill Street, Chesterfield.

The Range is owned and run by Plymouth-based entrepreneur Chris Dawson and is recognised for offering more than 65,000 quality products across 16 departments including; DIY, homewares, furniture, lighting, arts & crafts and garden, all at affordable prices.

Chris Dawson commented: “Whenever we open a new Range superstore, it is a case of waiting for the right place, right time and right price. Chesterfield fitted all those descriptions. It doesn’t stop here, that I can guarantee you! We are now on our 64th store, with many more in the pipeline for this year.

“We would like to welcome the Chesterfield people to the store opening, so they can see first-hand, what we are about and the great quality and value products we can offer them.”

As well as bringing The Range to town; the venture will also create up to 150 part and full-time jobs, from store and department managers to warehouse and admin staff with local people already applying for these positions.

Chris closed by adding: “We are also very pleased to be able to create a number of local jobs and are confident this store will play a big part in the continued success of The Range brand across the UK.”
