ORGANISERS have heaped praise on the first ever Chatsworth Road Festival.
The nine-day event, aimed at celebrating life on the well-known road, boasted over 90 fun-filled events and attracted thousands of people.
Following the success, organisers have confirm that the festival will return in 2012.
The celebration featured a number of events organised by local businesses, groups and institutions with highlights including poetry from Matt Black, the new Derbyshire Poet Laureate, a food festival, a beer festival, live music and exhibitions.
Deirdre Gage, chair of the festival, said: “There really was something for everyone.”
