HAVE you spotted a pink london cab zipping around town?
It has been the unusual transport choice for TV chef and culinary wizard, Heston Blumenthal, who is in Chesterfield filming his latest series on weird and wonderful sweets.
Today (June 25), the molecular gastronomist has been interviewing potential stars for his show, Heston’s Edible Sweet Garden, which is due to air in August.
He was at Rose Hill church inviting members of the public to pitch their ideas to him for unusual sweets to be created.
One, Adam Simons, 17, a chef at Nonsolovino on Chatsworth Road, created a smoked beetroot marshmallow and a basil olive oil fudge.
“I just thought of it off the top of my head” he said. “I enjoy Heston’s style of cooking, so I wanted to come up with a really unusual style of sweet.”
