WHEN you’re out in the garden digging away, it’s normal to come across a few creepy crawlies and some hard rocks... but not an egg.
However, that’s exactly what Mandy Mottram came across last Wednesday when she was doing the gardening for her mum, 71-year-old Patricia Mottram, who lives on Newbridge Lane, in Brimington.
Mandy, 42, said: “I was just digging away in the front garden then the spade hit something. I thought it may have been a daffodil bulb – but it wasn’t, it was an egg, a large egg.
“I hit the top of it and the yolk, which was bright yellow, flooded out.”
Patricia said she wanted help to try and find out more details about the egg.
“We don’t know where, what, it’s come from,” she said. “It’s baffling.”
If you can offer any information on the egg’s origins, contact Patricia on 07955155588 or 01246 620698.
