CHESTERFIELD: Crews decontaminate toxic man

FIREFIGHTERS had to help medical staff clean and decontaminate a patient who had come into contact with noxious fumes.

The man presented himself to staff at Chesterfield Royal Hospital about 8.30pm, on Tuesday, June 11.

A fire service spokesman said: “The fire service assisted medical staff with a male casualty who had come into contact with noxious fumes.”

The firefighters used specialised equipment provided by the hospital to help decontaminate the man.
