A group of kind-hearted and scantily clad women got all in a lather for a car wash to raise funds for a dying mum and her daughter.
The event, organised by Sandra Vaughn, of Wisp Hair on Derby Road, saw 14 women dressed in bikinis washing almost 100 cars in exchange for a donation at John’s Tyres, Derby Road.
She said: “We had a really good reception. It was baking hot and we all had a great laugh. People were beeping us as they drove past.”
The group raised £500 for terminally ill Michelle Hull-Bailey and her daughter, Leah, 10 at the wash, on May 18, so they can enjoy their last months together.
“We wanted to support them because Michelle is a former client of mine, and Leah is so young. It just seems unfair.
“They both came on the day and had a great time” Sandra added. “They are off on holiday soon so the money can be used for that.”
