Hathersage pool to stay open 24 hours on solstice

Hathersage Swimming Pool will hold its second annual 24 hour summer solstice.

The pool will be open from 3.30am on Saturday, June 21, to 3.30am on Sunday, June 22.

Money raised from the event will do to the King George’s Field Charitable Trust, which helps with the upkeep of the pool.

Teams and individuals will be competing in the 24 miles in 24 hours challenge, as well as sponsored miles throughout the day.

There will also be ticketed sessions throughout the night.
