HARDWICK: Open-air service at Hardwick Park ponds

Those who turned out early on Easter Sunday for a service of Holy Communion by the ponds on Hardwick park were not disappointed.

Although it was very cold with snow still on the ground, the sun shone and everyone felt much uplifted by the occasion.

An Easter egg hunt followed and from there the group went to St Albans for breakfast and then a morning service.

The evening congregation were delighted by the display of flowers in All Saints that had been sponsored by individuals in memory of loved ones and arranged by a team under the supervision of Joan Doody.
