Members of the 1890 (Dronfield) Squadron, based on Hartington Road, Dronfield, received their awards at a ceremony attended by the mayor and consort, councillors, high-ranking RAF officers and parents.

The following cadets were recipients of awards:

Cadet Ellie-May Clark promoted to Cadet Corporal; Cadet Russell Wardell promoted to Cadet Corporal; Cadet Corporal Rachel Butcher promoted to Cadet Sergeant; Cadet Flight Sergeant Oliver Kenyon promoted to Cadet Warrant Officer.

Cadet Warrant Officer Oliver Kenyon was awarded Best Cadet; Cadet Mark Lomas - Best New Recruit; Cadet Thomas Howson - Best Attendance; Cadet Corporal Ellie-May Clark - Best Uniform; Cadet David Hollingworth - Best Sport; Cadet Warrant Officer Oliver Kenyon - Best Shot; Cadet Sergeant Rachel Butcher - Best Fundraiser.

Anybody interested in joining the local Air Cadets Squadron should contact (01246-410174 between 7.30pm and 9.30pm Mondays and Wednesdays. To join you must be aged between 13 and 17 years old.
