Barlborough Heritage Centre is holding a free exhibition entitled Barlborough Hall Uncovered throughout January.
Barlborough Hall was a private home for over 300 years and then a private school so it has never been open to the public.
Descendants of the Rodes family have donated a collection of their private photographs which show what life was like living at the hall. The exhibition contains photographs of how the hall was furnished, what the gardens looked like when there was a team of gardeners, information of staff who worked at the Hall and much, much more.
Opening times are Mondays 9am till 3pm, Tuesdays 9am till 5pm, closed Wednesdays, Thursdays 9am till 3pm, closed Fridays, Saturdays 9am till 1pm, closed Sundays. Free parking and full disabled access. Visitors can purchase postcards of the hall and Barlborough village.
The centre has a few remaining Barbers Row and Barlborough 2012 Calendars left. All proceeds go to the running of the centre which is a registered charity; tel. (01246) 810100.
