Gifts of toiletries donated by members of Westhouses Methodist Church instead of traditional harvest produce will benefit children in Romania.
Pamela Gratton of the Chesterfield-based charity Hope for Life in Romania visited the church on Sunday to collect the gifts, which included soaps, deodorants, shampoos, toothpaste and tissues.
She also spoke at the evening service about the charity and showed pictures of children in Romania who would benefit.
The service was conducted by David Purseglove of Huthwaite and David Shooter was organist.
Readings were given by Jackie Martin and Joan Langthorp.
