VIDEO: Pulling power of tractor festival

A sleepy village was lit up with a mixture of bright lights and heavy metal action.

The Vintage Festival of Light was held in Ashover Showground last weekend and was a three day spectacular of tractors and other vintage machinery.

From dusk on Friday until Saturday evening the village was illuminated with hundreds of lights and exhibitors were encouraged to brighten up their displays with a trophy for the best lights.

There were tractor games including tractor balancing and the Barry Hoult Trophy was awarded to the person with the most points.

The event also featured a disco, raffle, auction and a smashing conker tournament with a cash prize awarded to the winner.

Entertainment was provided by Ashover Brass Band and rock and pop vocalist, Andy Star.
