VIDEO: Outstanding school sings for us

Here at the Derbyshire Times we like to spoil you so this week we’re showcasing another brilliant school.

The second educational wonder to star in our popular Primary Focus feature is Lenthall Infant School, on Marsh Avenue, Dronfield.

Derbyshire Times photographer Marisa Cashill has visited the school to take a lovely group shot which will be on page 67 of this weeks paper.

What’s more, Marisa filmed a wonderful video of pupils singing the song ‘Proud’ – to watch it, just click on the play icon above.

In its latest Ofsted report, Government inspectors judged the school to be ‘outstanding’.

In a letter to pupils, they said: “We agree with you that teachers and other adults are very kind and they provide very interesting lessons so that you make extremely good progress.

“Your behaviour is outstanding and you take all your roles and responsibilities very seriously. The school is helping you to grow up as young people extremely well.”

Derbyshire Times Editor James Mitchinson said: “We’re getting lots of positive feedback from proud schools and parents, who are unanimous in their appreciation of ‘Primary Focus’. So make sure your school doesn’t miss out!”
