Traffic, travel, weather - Monday 4 February

editorial image

editorial image

Traffic on the M1 is now flowly again after all three lanes were reopened following a crash this morning.

Traffic

There had been slow progress on the M1 northbound between J29a, Markham (Markham Vale) and J30, A616 (Sheffield), because of an accident at around 7am - but there were also delays on the southbound carriageway.

Trains

East Midlands Trains are reporting delays around London due to a powerline failure, but there are no problems in our region.

Weather

A mixed day weather-wise, with strong winds throughout and a mixture of sunshine and the odd shower mid-morning. A brighter afternoon will lead into a rainy evening, though, with temperatures dropping from 6 degrees during the day down to as low as 1 tonight.
