Police are appealing for witnesses after a recovery vehicle towing a broken down bus collided with buildings in Glossop town centre and became embedded.
The collision occurred at around 6pm last night (Tuesday) with the bus becoming embedded in the shop fronts of a taxi company and a takeaway on Victoria Street.
The recovery vehicle was wedged between a lamp post and a bank.
No one was seriously injured during the collision.
The passenger in the recovery vehicle, a man in his 30s, was taken to Stepping Hill Hospital suffering minor hand injuries.
Several businesses have been affected and the collision also caused a suspected gas leak.
Victoria Street was closed between the junction with the A57 High Street East/West and Turnlee Road. Road closures and diversions are still in place.
Both vehicles remain in situ due to structural damage caused to the buildings.
Anyone with information about events leading up to the collision is asked to call Derbyshire police on 101.
