Two men have been charged in connection with the discovery of a substantial amount of cocaine in

Tideswell.

The men, aged 31 and from Swanley in Kent and aged 26 and from South East London, have been charged

with conspiring to evade a prohibition on the importation of a class A drug and conspiring to evade a

prohibition on the importation of firearm ammunition.

They are due to appear before magistrates in Chesterfield today.

On Monday, March 11, a large amount of drugs and several bullets were found underneath a vehicle in

Tideswell.

The men were arrested in the village on Wednesday, March 13.

Detective Inspector Shaun McElheron said: “We will continue to fight the war against controlled drugs coming

in to the county and I would urge anyone with information about drugs to call us.”

You can contact Derbyshire police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
